Actually, synchronising the two robots was an accident. I was doing a demonstration for an open day and I just thought “what if I make them to synchronise?”
I’ve never done it before as it is not necessary for my work. When I managed to do it, I was so excited about it that I overworked the robots and eventually one of them fell. As I had them on a high table and they costed our department £9,000, I tried to catch the robot and its foot hit me in the head quite hard. I had a concussion for two weeks and I had outreach work during that period.
It was not funny then, but now, when I look back at it, it makes me smile or even laugh sometimes.
