You could make a robot that can do most of your homework. But would you want that? Wouldn’t you prefer to do the homework yourself and learn new things so that you can become an engineer?

Some of it can be done already 🙂 I certainly remember an app, that can scan your maths questions and provide you with the answer.

Subjects that involve memorizing stuff like dates, names and places are still left to you – I don’t think we have a device yet that can put that knowledge into your head without any effort on your part 🙂

You’d also want to participate in any subject that develops your skill – you can’t type efficiently, if you’ve never touch a keyboard, for example. And in my own experience – you can read about skating all you want, but that doesn’t give you much help when you step on the ice rink for the first time.

I sympathize with the sentiment – some of my homework was pretty boring. At the same time, if I hadn’t spent hours translating Hamlet and Wuthering Heights, into plain English – I would have never learnt English 🙂

      Haha this an awesome question.

Yes you probably can for most of your homework. Computers are very good at Maths, but they are not so good at English, Music or Art.

So if you need it to write you an essay, it’s probably more work to build the robot that to just write the essay.

However, if you were to study to be an engineer, build a robot that can do people homework and then sell it, you would be very very popular with people how want this kind of robot. Maybe not so much with teachers haha.

So my answer is, it’s technically possible, but probably not worth it in the short term 🙂

      Oh yes definitely.

But remember a robot is only as good as the person programming it, so you’ll have to work hard on writing the robot program to get it right!

You’ll also have to spend some time thinking of all the things you might get asked in your homework. If you haven’t given it the right instructions it will get stuck and ask you what to do!
