I was delivering some lectures with one of my robots for an event. When I got my feedback, I saw a message from one of the students saying “the talk really made me reconsider what I want to do when I grow older. I think I want to be an engineer!” That made me so happy to know that I might have helped someone choose engineering as a career.

I guess, the first two presentations of my work were so far the proudest moments. After a year of work, it was a fascinating experience to share my research with people, to receive questions from them, and get new ideas!

The proudest moments for me are seeing a new car come out of the robot production line for the first time. It’s amazing to see a real life car drive away knowing that just a few months ago the factory was just an idea in our team’s heads.

While a car factory is being built the car is normally top secret so I’m not allowed to talk about it. When the car goes on sale I can finally tell my friends and family THAT’s the car I’ve been working on building for the last 2 years! 🙂

Oh this is a great question. Tough.

It was probably when we built our first robot as part of homework for a class. It was this wee thing build out of old lego and sensors. When it first completed the tasks it was built to do, I was so happy and it was such a nice feeling to see all those hours of work come to something so good 🙂
