I think the most important things are maths and physics. After that comes communication with your team, and creativity, which will help you come up with new ideas and make them possible.

Engineering itself – helps people to practically solve problems and fulfil dreams 🙂

To be good in engineering, you’d probably need a good understanding of maths (don’t take your school grade as a measure, maths in universities it taught way differently in my experience).

Coming up with practical solutions is also important. Theories often don’t quite work with real-world problems, so being able to overcome those problems is important.

Big projects would require good teamwork/communication, as there will be many engineers each specialising in their own thing.

For me I think it’s patience and curiosity.

You have to be patient enough to work though projects, which can take some time. You also need to work on your skills and be patient to learn the basics before you try and invent the next revolutionary gadget.

But you also need to be curious, about how things work, about how you can make things work better, about why aren’t we doing things a certain way yet, curious to learn from others and a curious enough to think of ideas 🙂
