      I work at Northumbria Uni (https://www.northumbria.ac.uk). It’s pretty good – can’t complain.

I work in an office Bristol most of the time, but my job takes me all over the UK and out to sea on ships.

There are a lot of poeple that work in my office and sometimes there are not enough desks or computers for everyone 🙁 but I really enjoy being able to spend time in other parts of the UK and at sea!!

I work in Rugby, in the Midlands (you can see my office in the link in my profile!).

My company (Comau) is Italian so I get to travel to Italy a few times a year too, to visit my colleagues over there.

I spend a lot of time in my car too, travelling the UK to different customers. I like being out and about, so it suits me perfectly.

I work at the University of Kent. I really love it here, as it is a rather small engineering department, so everyone knows everyone. And we always have loads of fun… sometimes we are probably having too much fun.

      Dear Tarina1809,
I work between the University of Edinburgh and Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland, as part of the Edinburgh Centre for Robotics.

The city is a great place for anyone who works in technology as there is so much going on. Two of the UK’s billion dollar start-ups are based 10 minutes walk from my desk, it’s like a mini silicon valley here.

My labs are cool, the centre for robotics has just been given several million pounds to spend on equipment, so some of the labs are being upgraded and there is lots of new robots arriving all the time.

I work in at a desk with lots of other PhD students, so it’s just like being in a class of 15 people, we see each other everyday and hang out in the weekends.

It’s pretty nice and open and I really like the environment 🙂

      Siobhan
