      I didn’t come across any real barriers, however I was a bit “odd” in some people’s eyes. Luckily I had supportive family who gave me the confidence to pursue my dream.

      Many female engineers come across as very determined as we want to prove we are just as good as men.

      I believe I am currently paid the same as others in my company but if I was to take a career break to have children I may find that I come back to a lower salary than my colleagues who stay working.
