• Question: Do you need to take any safety precautions in your works, mainly in any construction that you do/ plan

      Hi Caitlin,

      I don’t get involved in construction but I do need to take safety precautions when I’m visiting airfields as there are more risks. Usually this is taken care of by the Health and Safety briefings you need to take into account before visiting the site.

      Absolutely, safety is our top priority. We need to ensure we consider safety from start to finish of every proejct.

      So even before it goes out on site for construction, we need to ensure that the design makes it safe for people to carry out. These include risk assessments, where we assess what could go wrong and then find ways in which to reduce the chance of it going wrong.

      Hi!

      I’m not involved directly in construction. However, safety is always the most important aspect of any design/analysis.

      For example, a large part of my work is designing/analysing pipes to ensu health and safety documents that outline what is acceptable and what is not.

      Checking that pipelines are in compliance help ensure that people are kept safe :).
