      Hey,

First of all, the username made me chuckle on this one.

In response to your question THE GINGER BANTER, I probably got into engineering when I was 14

Hi, I was pretty undecided until I was 17. I did a project called “The Engineering Education Scheme” at school when I was in Year 10 which got me thinking. We worked with the Royal Navy on a project about salt water batteries.

After that I then did a Headstart course in Lower 6th (AS levels) which confirmed it for me. I spent a week at Bristol university learning about the different types of engineering.

      Hi Ginger Banter,

I was about 20, when I got my first Job with Thales, even through University I didn’t know what I wanted to be!

      Hi all!

I didn’t really know I wanted to be an engineer until I was about 15, when I got some career advice at school! Engineering wasn’t really talked about as much when I was at school, which I why I had never really considered it.

That’s part of the reason why the engineers are doing this event – to make sure more students learn what it’s like to be an engineer!
