      Hi Capybara16!

It was actually a coincidence, really! I was performing some finite element analysis (FEA) at University on a section of pipe that had some plastic insulation on it. FEA software lets you draw an object, divide it into little blocks, and then work out how the object will react to temperature/bending/stretching etc.

I then saw an advert through University for a summer placement with a company. The advert had a picture of FEA on it, and I thought – “I can do that!”. It turned out that it was a slightly different type of FEA from that which I was using at University, but I had some limited knowledge of it anyways.

I really liked the work and the people there, so I accepted an offer to start as a graduate the next year! And the rest is history.

      Hope this helps!
