• Question: which of your highers was the hardest to get

      Hi!

      I think the hardest higher for me was English. For years my favourite subjects had been maths and sciencey type subjects, and I thought that English just “wasn’t for me”. A combination of a great book (“The Hobbit”!) and a great teacher in my higher year made me change how I looked at English, and I started to really enjoy it. Since then, I’ve developed an interest in writing/presenting and communicating in general.

      I think it goes to show that with the right way of looking at things, you can achieve things that you didn’t think you could!
