I think it would be hard to only learn the bits of STEM that are going to be relevant to exactly what I want to do and a lot of stuff has turned out to be useful when I never expected it to. I have a lot of random knowledge on STEM stuff I’ll probably never need, but I don’t know that.
Hi Laurellanya, I think all parts of STEM are revelant to being an engineer. The disciplines are all linked and it is useful to have knowledge from all of the subjects.
To be honest no.
Even having a very basic level of understanding in something really helps in work / projects that involve lots of different elements.
I did not do very well in chemistry and I do now struggle when looking at how we finish our materials to get the best performance. Perhaps I should go back and study again!
