  Kyle, In my case it has been the result of being in an operating theatre, watching surgery. I look with engineering eyes and it really quite easy to identify how an operation could be improved or perhaps how a surgical instrument could be modified to make the surgeons life easier. I guess, a surgeon deals with biological systems and biological materials and this means that trained medical professionals don’t have an extensive knowledge base in engineering principles and materials.
