      Hello!
ha ha the age is a secret!
I don’t think I was always aiming for an engineer title. I started my degree because I knew I wanted to focus on the technical and science side of textiles, my skills are not in the design and artistic side!
I think after I graduated from Uni in 2000 I didn’t really know what types of jobs were out there within the textile field and so I took a role in a textile factory and learnt what skills were required to progress. I was very lucky and was headhunted by Berghaus a year out of Uni in to a materials development role. Textiles is still a developing art and so that means my role becomes more technical / more varied / more engineered as we increase the performance of our products.

I am 27 years old and I think I started being interested in engineering since I was 14-15 years old.

Hi, I am 36 years old. I had decided by 17 that I wanted to become an engineer, I had being doing formula 1 project at school (building a car to race), that inspired me to be an engineer. Although I did not get the a-levels needed to study engineering at uni, I did not let that stop me and completed a foundation year before studying engineering degree.
