      Hi,
      I think it’s the project I’m working on at the moment. There are several partners and we are trying to develop a completely new product for applications in aeroengines’ cases. It is challenging because of the manufacturing process that our partner is using, which creates very peculiar material properties that are not easy to simulate, and because of the overall design. We have to bring the design from the “concept” status to “industrially ready” which means that we have a lot to understand to build confidence in the component.

      Hi, This year it is figuring out how the coating system on the Aircraft Carrier can be damaged. This involves coming up with ways the coating could be damaged (contamination, impact damage, heat etc), trying to recreate that damage and see what happens to the coating.
