      Hi megan,
as a mechanical engineer you can do so many different things!
I love materials for example and to understand their behaviour. But as a mechanical engineer my training was really diverse. I studied engines, automation, robots, vehicle dynamics, sound and vibration, thermodynamics and power plants. I think it offers so many opportunities and there is something for every taste. I also love the fact that it sometimes relies on fundamental physics and chemistry so that your understanding can be easily transferred from one field to the other.

Hey, mechanical engineering is one of the broadest engineering disciplines, so you have lots of career choices that makes it interesting, you could never get bored. I love solving problems, designing and fixing things and being challenged. Every day is different and I love it.
