When you love what you do then work is easy. Sure, you learn a lot and sometimes when you are leaning like in school it’s a bit hard but once you learn you can do things better or more that what you did before and then it’s time to learn again…
If its too easy its not fun. If its too hard its not fun. I think work needs to offer the right amount of challenge – so your competence, skills, knowledge, experience and confidence can grow. If there is a mismatch between your level of challenge and your level of competence, then either you get bored and frustrated, or you get stressed and fail. Maintaining appropriate “flow” in the channel where challenge and competence are appropriately matched is your line manager’s responsibility – and if they fail you need to let them know. Or leave.
