I think we have many technical challenges and they are interesting to solve but for me the most interesting is working with people with different backgrounds and experiences and bring them together on the subject. People make the difference 🙂
A lot of my current day-to-day challenges include debugging and finding errors in my code that I use to analyse planetary atmospheres. Another day-to-day challenge for me right now is getting help for my research and collaborating with other people online. I’m not entirely used to meeting people and collaborating online and sometimes communication can be quite challenging.
For me the biggest challenge is debugging code! Often the errors in code are hidden away amongst thousands of other lines of code, so it can take quite a while to narrow down the error and fix it. There are also always lots of new things to learn, so sometimes it can be quite a challenge to keep on top of the day-to-day job whilst also trying to understand new ideas and concepts.
