      String theory and M theory are hotly debated. When I last heard anything about them there were holes in the theories that need bridging. Also we’re yet to devise any way of measuring or testing the theories so there isn’t any empirical evidence, just mathematical postulation.

      That said it is out of my field so I cannot really comment .

      I think it’s more of a philosophical problem than a scientific theory, since it can’t be falsified. More simply, I like the idea but I don’t think there’s any way of knowing whether or not it’s true.
