      No, not at all.
      But it helps to follow your dreams if your friends and family help.

      Though it is nice to have support from friends and family it is not needed.

      It certainly helps! For instance, if my family were resistant to me being away for a couple of days a week with work, life would be a lot less pleasant.

      Not to do my work, but it definitely helps to have friends and family to support in other areas of life.
