• Question: if you do a lot of maths, you must enjoy it- do you?

      For me maths can be really fun when there is a practical application to solve. It can make you all powerful too!! Especially when other people around you are guessing at answers and you have calculated the right answer. It gives you great confidence!

      Sometimes the maths scares me. I look at it in horror. But once I get into the zone and it actually a lot of fun. It’s a lot like solving a puzzle like a crossword; it might seem daunting to start with but really rewarding when you finish it.

      I do a lot of maths and I enjoy it. That said when you get stuck it can be a little frustrating but for me the high of ‘yay! I solved it!’ always is greater than the low of getting stuck. You just have to keep trying, or sometimes just move on to a different problem or way of solving something. It’s so nice when everything fits into place….

      Most of the time. Sometimes I get stuck and have to look things up that I think I *should* know but then it turns out I forgot!
