      We use a lot of programs. Here are some of them:
      Altium – (for designing the electronics)
      Vivado – (for designing some of the code)
      A atolic – (for designing the other bits of the code)
      Visual Studio C++ – (for designing our own custom PC software)
      Matlab – (for processing test data)
      DesignWorks – (to design the mechanics)
      Ansys – (for structural and thermal analysis)
      Zemax – (to design the optics)
      Lots of others programs too like office programs for writing the documents and doing the drawings
      We also use paper from time to time 😉
