Entry requirements for Engineering at University vary by course and what University you decide to go to, so some courses are harder than others to get in to. In general there is a real shortage of skills for jobs in Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths so we really need more people to be studying these subjects. It’s likely we’ll need around 1.8 million Engineers in the UK by 2025!

Not hard… as long as you know it exists and don’t mind lots of school! Nobody wakes up and wants to be a “satellite positioning and navigation” engineer. Usually you start with a degree in space/satellite geodesy, geomatics, aeronautics, or something similar, then specialize in positioning/navigation.

If you have the right skills and you are genuinely interested and enthusiastic then it’s not so difficult really… As Pam said, there is shortage of people with skills in STEM, so if you work hard and study these subjects then I’m sure you could get involved in Engineering/ the Space Industry too 🙂
