• Question: What A-level grades did you get?

      A* in Maths and A in Further Maths, Physics, Chemistry.
      I also took As French but can’t remember if I got an A or a B

      I actually didn’t get any A-Levels, I didn’t do too well at college. What I ended up doing was an Engineering Foundation Year at university to get my maths and science skills up, and as I knew this was what I wanted to do I worked really hard to get As and Bs in the subjects.

      In Scotland, when I was at school we did Standard Grades and Highers instead. I got 5 As for Highers in English, Maths, Physics, Computing, and Graphic Communication

      I’ve never been good at exams! I’m generally slow and methodical – not great when there’s hundreds of problems and a time limit.

      If the USA equivalent is AP exams then I took math, physics, and chemistry.

      If you want a more interesting response then ask, “what subjects did you fail or almost fail?”.
