I decided to work with positioning satellites when I accepted a part-time research job during the final year of my bachelor’s degree.

After high school I thought, “I’ll marry this girl and get a degree to earn a decent salary”.

I liked civil engineering, graduated, and thought, “It wouldn’t be too much extra work to turn this part-time research job into a master’s degree”. That’s when I fully entered the satellite positioning world.

My advise to you is, don’t ever question whether or not you’re smart enough to do something. If you like something and want to do it, then just do it! It will take hard work to succeed, but if you like what you’re doing then the hard work will actually be fun!
