      That’s a good question. I chose EWB-UK because they engage local schools in STEM activities. They also donate their time and engineering skills to improve the quality of life for people who live in poverty. Some of their projects help provide clean water, control flooding, or sanitary waste disposal.

      If I had more time, I would like to visit local schools to educate students on satellite positioning technology and why it matters. Maybe in my third year of the PhD I will have time to do this type of engagement!
