  We had this thing at school called “career week” before the A-levels which was quite eye opening, I did lots of research online after that and it helped me choose a degree. I also went to job fairs when in college, which put me in contact with companies and the different of careers they offered. But I actually got into this specific line of work (and got my current job) thanks to the recommendation of an ex-colleague.
