• Question: whats it like when you fart in space, does it linger or does it just disappear

      This is a very serious question in fact… you don’t fart directly in space, but either in your spacesuit or in the international space station. The methane gas you fart can be quite dangerous… but there are normally some toxic gas filters! Phewww.

      I believe the ventilation system on the International Space Station is very good, otherwise I’m afraid it would linger forever! Same with the carbon dioxide we exhale while breathing, without an air flow system astronauts would asphyxiate while sleeping as they would breath the same air in and out again and again.
