    I work in the university and design new techniques and devices to help the patients with hand abnormalities

    I develop a three-dimensional computer model for hand to calculate forces produced my each muscle and tendons in hand and forearm. This model helps patients with Arthritis and improves their quality of life. I also use this model to advice clinicians and hand surgeons on rehabilitation methods for each patients.

    On daily basis, I collect a lot of data from patients and analyse them. I summarise my result and present it to clinicians and surgeons. I also using programming tools to develop my hand models. I attend and present at seminars, conferences and group meetings. I also supervise students and help my fellow colleagues on their research.

    I would devlope a 3D printed bionic hand.

    I would like to use the money to develop a 3D printed bionic arm using my computer modelling. I would also get the school-children involved in making the hand model, printing them and using the computer models to move the hand.

      As an engineer, I worked at the Royal Veterinary College and studied the locomotor performance of the fire salamanders.

      What did you want to be after you left school?

      I wanted to become a medical engineer

      Sometimes!

      If you weren't doing this job, what would you choose instead?

      I would have been an eye surgeon

      It is hard to say but if I had to list one, maybe Bon Jovi
