    I went to Putteridge High School in Luton where I learnt my passion for engineering, then onto 6th Form and then onto Nottingham Trent University

  • Qualifications:

    11 GCSE’s – Maths (B), English (B), PE (A), RE (D), History (D), Science (AA), Technologies (A), IT (A) Geography (D) French (F) – As you can see I didnt enjoy Languages. Then Science A Level & Technologies A Level & finally I gained a Batchelor of Engineering in Automotive Engineering at University with Honors

  • Work History:

    My 1st ever job was working eveinings at the local coop, this gave me the lessons for working, I have worked for Vauxhall Motors, Blue Arrow, BT and various other jobs (including packing in factories, driving, delivering) whilst at university, i then left university and worked in the recruitment industry for Blue Arrow and finally working for myself as a construction consultant. I then joined Chubb and worked for them for 10 years before joining Sensetech Systems, I went back to Chubb and finally owing my own business

    I am originally from London but currently live in the Wirral with my wife and our dog bailey

    I have worked in the Life Safety Industry for over 15 years.

    I am a Chelsea fan, an avid drummer and have a very wide range taste in music ranging from the foo fighters, Toto, the Weeknd to eurythmics, Dua Lipa and Stevie Wonder.

    I love cars and originally trained as a Powertrain engineer in the automotive industry and have a hobby of creating “fast & furious” type cars

    I design and engineer Life Saftey Systems to protect buildings and people from Fire

    My main role amongst many is to design fire alarm systems and other Life Safety Systems to be installed within all manner of buildings, ranging from a small office block to large universities.

     

     

  • My Typical Day: Every day is different, one day i could be spending time on a design so i get to use my skills and knowledge, the next day i could be walking around a big site carrying out a detailed survey. There is no typical day and every day is different and new

      What's the best thing you've done in your career?

      Knowing that systems i have designed have played a part in saving lives

      What or who inspired you to follow your career?

      No one really, I wanted to work on cars but that didn't work out and I was lucky to fall into this industry and have not looked back

      What was your favourite subject at school?

      Science

      What did you want to be after you left school?

      I wanted to be a Helicopter Pilot

      Were you ever in trouble at school?

      Yes

      If you weren't doing this job, what would you choose instead?

      I would proberbly be a Car Modifier or Engineer

      Toto

      What's your favourite food?

      Pie & Mash

      What is the most fun thing you've done?

      I used to work for a company when I was at University who would test brand new cars, I worked on Aston Martins and had the fun job of driving them on a test track all day
