Yes! It’s been an amazing opportunity to make a difference in the fight against COVID-19. I was asked by a surgeon to help design a face shield as they were running out in the hospital, and there wasn’t enough to go around. Over the last three weeks we have managed to send 10,000 shields to help people in our local hospitals. The doctors and nurses are so grateful that we have made something that can help to keep them safe. For me, knowing I have helped, is the best feeling.
I have also been making face shields, which is really rewarding. We have just been told that we made so many that the local hospitals and care homes have loads now, which is really nice to hear.
