I don’t actually wear a mask. The picture is from when I went on holiday in Japan and culturally in the far east a lot of people wear masks to stop the spread of diseases. I just wore it to for the experience 🙂
Wearing a mask falls into 2 different categories either you are trying to prevent “things” getting in or “things” getting out. I used the word “things” as masks aren’t only used to protect from viruses (although that’s what we’re doing right now). In my profile there is a picture of me wearing a bandanna as a mask over my nose and mouth to stop me breathing in the sand storm that was happening in Dubai when I was working. I also once went to a oil refinery needed to carry a special mask that could only be used once, and only to be used if the alarm was sounded. This mask would have protected me from breathing in toxic sulphur dioxide, luckily the alarm didn’t sound 🙂
