Not until about 16. I was taken on a school trip to oxford university and sat in an engineering lecture – not really knowing what it was. All I knew was that it had something to do with technology and science. And I LOVED it! The combined with my passion for natural disasters and the worlds natural processes to lead to civil engineering ๐
Is this someone with the same name as me or someone hacked my account? ๐ haha
I think I always had it in the back of my head but I didn’t get much support in making any decisions when I was your age so it took me a bit longer to realise who I want to be. So not until I started working at Airbus in HR I realised that Engineering is the future and that I want to be part of it!
I decided I wanted to be an Engineer when I was about 15 I loved machines of all kinds like planes, cars and bikes, but I also really liked doing Maths and Physics at school. I heard the boss of an F1 Team say that to work for them you needed a good Mechanical Engineering degree, so I said to myself thatโs what Iโm going to do.
I was about 14 when I realised that my interest in making/creating things could be combined with my love of fast powerful cars by becoming an Automotive Engineer
