Hey again Sapphire1! I had really insiprational Maths and Physics teachers and looking back I probably can thank them for who I am now. My dad was a car mechanic so growing up I always had tools around the house to play around with 🙂 Later in my life, when I was about 20, I kind of linked both together and decided – I want to make things! and I started an Open University course doing Engineering Degree. Then I heard about Aprenticeship Opportunities at Airbus and it seemed like a perfect match – to learn how to be an engineer and actually act as an engineer at work! I am in my 2nd year of apprenticeship now and I fell that it was the best decision I have ever made! It makes me so happy and it might sound geeke but I cant wait to get to work on Monday morning!
As Gosha said I had some great teachers at school who really encouraged me to follow my passions and get involved in different things. I spend a lot of time after school and in lunch breaks in the DT labs making random things just because I could and learning how all the tools worked.
I decided I wanted to be an Engineer when I was about 15 I loved machines of all kinds like planes, cars and bikes, but I also really liked doing Maths and Physics at school. I heard the boss of an F1 Team say that to work for them you needed a good Mechanical Engineering degree, so I said to myself that’s what I’m going to do.
