      That depends on the implant. Some implants, for example metal ones, don’t really interact with our bodies at all. We call these types of implants bioinert. Others we design so that they will react with the body or change over time. These types of implants are called bioactive.

      Implants are not always the same size. We vary them so that they will fit the geometries of the patient.
