      I really enjoy my work. The combination of using gadgets, tools and machines to solve health related problems, for me is extremely rewarding. It can be very difficult and sometimes you have to think long and hard about the solution. Naturally, there are some days when it is very tough, but then I remind myself that i’m contributing to people’s health and so the hard work is worth it.

      I really do. Specially when I read comments on social media about people that enjoy my products or when I travel around the world and see people wearing them.

      I love interacting with amputees and trying to come up with solutions to their problems. Each person has different needs, so I would love to be able to help every single one of them as soon as I can.

      This is the beauty of engineering: trying to come up with solutions to a problem.

      Sometimes it is frustrating if it takes a bit of time to find a solution for something, but thankfully, I am surrounded by a great group of engineers that can help me think when I get stuck.

      I don’t like my job, I LOVE it! 🙂

      It’s great to feel like you’re making a difference to people’s lives. In academia there are lots of opportunities to try out new things and areas of research. For example, I just started a project trying to make new antimicrobial products.

      Of course there are sometimes some boring parts to jobs and I guess for me that’s the admin which comes with my role. The majority of the time though being an engineer is super interesting as there is always new problems to solve, new people to work with, and you get to interact with people all across the world!

      I love it!

      I’ve worked in industry for a small biotechnology company too, working on novel antimicrobial products and cleaning products with bacteria in them (to promote cleaning!), and this PhD is by far the best thing I’ve ever done. Its hard work, and sometimes it makes me really frustrated..but at the end of the day, when I look back on what I’ve achieved here, it makes me feel so good.

      I absolutely LOVE my job. I would not change what I do for the world. It is very rewarding, and although there are tougher days than others, it is worth every drop of sweat!
