I didn’t know that biomedical engineering was a thing until I started looking for university degrees to study I initially wanted to be a medical doctor, then my grades weren’t good enough then I actually applied to be a Physiotherapist. but I failed an admissions test. I’ve definitely failed more times that i’ve succeeded, it’s part of life, but understanding where you went wrong and not repeating the same mistake is the golden nugget. Also learning doesn’t stop at school or even when you start working. If you want to be really good at something then you’ll be learning for the rest of your life.
I was a bit like Zach. I had no idea that this world of Bioengineering / Prosthetics was ‘a thing’.
My degrees were kind of pushing me into automotive and aerospace industry, which I am still fascinated by, but one day I came across this job and decided to give it a go.
