• Question: What do you normally wear to work? do you get to wear a lab coat?

      I wear normal casual wear to work most of the time. I try to dress somewhat smart so tend to wear shirts and jeans, or tshirt and jeans..

      We HAVE to wear a lab coat in the lab – it is part of the health and safety requirements..if we don’t, we get shouted at!

      Smart Casual wear – shirt and jeans because i’m not dealing with cells 🙂

      I wear anything i like it work, in the lab have two labcoats, a blue one for cell culture and a white one for everything else.

      Hi Arth,

      I normally wear jeans and a top, or a dress, or whatever I feel like wearing on that day! If I have a meeting I put extra effort 🙂

      Great question!

      I wear normal clothes everyday but I have my safety shoes under my desk all times. I need to use them everytime I am in the lab because sometimes I have to handle heavy stuff, or everytime I visit the factory.

      When I get to do experiments with materials, I wear a labcoat, otherwise I would get covered in silicone or other sticky stuff. I have to say, my labcoat is not white anymore, no matter how many times I wash it. hehe
