  It varies and depends on a lot of factors. Typically, the latest I would finish is 7pm and I don’t work on weekends.

  I always finish at 5 but on Fridays I finish at 13h00, which is great for starting the weekend early.

  Well, because I have a young family, I finish any time from about 4pm – normally 4.30/5 ish, but if I have something important on, I can finish later (6, 7, 8 pm!). I do have to come in on weekends sometimes though..and that can be any time..sometimes 10 pm!!

  The usually depends on what time i came in and what is going on in the lab. Usually for me any time between 6-10. Although as i’m a PhD student this probably isn’t typical of a career in Engineering.

  I usually go home around 5 – 6PM and like Zach I also don’t work weekends, I think it is important to have time to switch off.

  Ideally I am meant to finish at 5pm, but I think it is more normal to leave work at around 6-7pm. This depends on the amount of research I have to do, or if I’m running some experiments. And in the same way, if I don’t have much going on, sometimes I can leave earlier.
