Truth be told i didn’t get accepted onto a course. I was offered a place on a biomedical sciences course with a view of swapping to medicine but was struggling, the course was very much about memory and taking a lot of information from power point presentation. I decided to swap to engineering as i wanted something that was about applying theory and problem solving.
I didn’t find out until i was 2.5 year through university that i was dyslexic, which explained why i found it so had in lectures during my first year. Engineering is great for me as i find it a lot easier to remember things when i can see their application and where a basic concept can be applied in so many different situations.
