Question: why did you want to do microbiology?

Good question. I never had any exposure to or experience of microbiology in school, and when I got to university, I saw it as a module that I could choose, so I did.

After that, it was love at first sight, so to speak! I was fascinated by the whole concept of a world of organisms that we can’t see, but yet they have such a substantial influence in our every day lives, and in medicine!!

Its amazing, and really rewarding!
