• Question: on a scale from 1 to 10 how fun is it being an engineer

      It’s great fun, and I enjoy solving problems, working with lots of different people and working together to find a solution. However, it can be difficult and stressful when there are deadlines so I’d say 9/10!

      I’d give it a 9/10. I love working with different people and teams, I get to work on a variety of projects so every day is different and there’s always something new to learn which makes it really fun 🙂

      This depends what you’re comparing it to – in comparisson to other jobs it’s really interesting and different! No two days are the same and you get fresh problems to investigate each week. There’s lots of different things to do and it requres some thinking which means you are never bored. I was definitely more bored in school than I have ever been at work!

      But in comparisson to going to a theme park or going on holiday I think most jobs are dull…

      I would say 8/10… surely it is fun itself as it is always interesting to solve the problems with what you have learned or learn more for the upcoming challenges. But sometimes it can make you very stressful like any other job and want to run away from it for a while…

      On average it’s about an 8/10. Sometimes it can reach 11/10 on the fun scale while sometimes it’s down around 4/10. You have to take the good with the bad but it’s mainly good which it’s why it’s such a great career to be in.
