My favourite GCSE and A Level was actually German! I really enjoyed maths at GCSE and A Level but hated the exam. The German exam wasn’t too bad as it was split up into lots of different parts, so I enjoyed it more.

My favourite was geography as I love learning about new things and new facts. The best that i really needed as an Engineer was maths as it is nice to see a definite answer. You always get a yes/no right/wrong with maths. Engineers do not need to be ‘good’ at maths remember.. we are foremost problem solvers and communicators.

Maths! I enjoy problem solving and logical thinking, so maths was a perfect fit. To me, every problem was like a puzzle and I had fun solving them.

It’s hard to choose! I loved Maths but I also really enjoyed Spanish. I really liked learning the patterns and logic of another language and it was nice to do something a bit different from my maths and science subjects too 🙂

My two favourites were maths and PE – maths because I enjoyed problem solving and PE because I loved team sports.

I loved learning about the famous paintings and trying to replicate the techniques they used for my own paintings.

Probably Chemistry – which is funny as I never decided to do it post Highers (Scottish A Level equivalent). I loved the experiments and using equations to work things out.

Definitely physics was my favourite! I absolutely loved how you could learn about how the world around us works. I loved that you could do a really simple experiment and measure things like the speed of sound, or light, or learning about different forces – which seemed so cool to me!

I liked Physics – mostly the bit with forces though – less good at the electricity parts. I liked learning about space and the planets too – it’s just mind boggling the more you learn!

In terms of academic subjects, definitely maths. I found it interesting and enjoyed the problem solving. But then I started to enjoy physics more, because it started to include practical maths problems (you do a lot of this in engineering).
I loved PE and all the school sports as well – I lived for the weekend when I got to play rugby
