Some days I could be away meeting suppliers, or with customers testing/demonstrating an Air Handling Unit with controls on, however the majority of my days are spent designing controls systems and Non-Standard requests that will allow us to quote customers. Typically I have few controls quotations along with a few non-standard quotations to do a day. I also prepare packages that assist our electricians when fitting out controls on the AHU’s and modify spreadsheets for our sales team to keep them up to date. Usually this is accompanied by varies meetings, phone calls and emails.

I am a memeber of WES (Women in Engineering Society) in which I volenteer to speak to schools and various other public activities which encourage girls to look into engineering as a future. I’d use the money to assist in funding these public events. From my experience Men and Women working as a team are stronger then seperately – we look at things differently and work in different way which, I believe, compliment each other when trying to find solutions.
