• Question: How many hours on average do you work a day?

      Hi River Angel,
      I’m in the office most days 8:15 to 5:30 – but take a good long lunch to go to the gym or something like that. It does get busier sometimes. At it’s worst I’m working at home before and after work, but thats’ partly because it its enough fun that I want to.
      If I have a bad bug, I might be working most of the day from 7:30 to 11pm… but that is pretty rare, and it’s worth it when it all comes together.

      There is no such thing as an average day for me – I’m at work until everything that needs doing that day is done!

      Some days I work 8 til 3, most days i work 8 til 5, some days I work 8 til 8! Fortunately the latter are relatively rare now! Before I had kids I’d often work 8am til 10pm to finish research papers or finish writing code – however I have more sense now! 🙂

      I work on average 36 hrs a week. Before children, I was a 40 hr plus a week girl but fortunately industry is waking up to the needs of working parents
