I did my first degree straight out of school at the University of Strathclyde. This took me four years to complete as the system in Scotland is a little different from the rest of the UK. Then while I was working I got the chance to do my Master’s degree by ‘distance learning’, so I had to listen and read the lectures and do the coursework in my own time after work. Now I’m back at uni and technically a student again as I complete my PhD!
I studied Mechanical Engineering with Study in Continental Europe at the University of Bristol – I loved it! The course covered all areas of mechanical engineering and I was able to continue with my language studies and ended up spending a year in Germany. Post graduation, -everyone found a job in the field they were interested – mainly either in engineering or IT.
Bristol is a great place to be a student, loads to do both on the social and extra curricular side as well as giving a good degree.
