I have a few patents to my name, but they haven’t yet found their way into a device. Broadening to designs I have contributed to or I am currently , these include relief for patients with cystic fibrosis (too much mucus in the lung), reinforcing the aorta (big artery to the heart) from the inside and diagnosing tuberculosis better.

I have come up with something that we are trying to patent, so I can’t say what it is yet. But if we can make it work, it will help millions of people to get diagnosed cheaper, and more quickly.

I have created a software tool to detect/diagnose the early signs of various eye (retinal) diseases. It has been successfully deployed to decrease the snubber of patients by 5% over last 3 year in 8 clinics in India. It is currently getting patented and I am very proud of that project.

I’ve made a cheap, 3D-printed microchip that uses light energy to analyse cells. It hasn’t helped anyone yet, but we’re hoping that one day it can be used to diagnose diseases in people.
Then, the chips could be posted out to people too poor to see a doctor, or too far away from one.
