I did an undergraduate masters degree (5 years in Scotland), then a postgraduate masters degree in a different subject (1 year) , and I’m 1 year into a 4 year PhD so I’ll have been in training for 10 year when I finish my PhD! It doesn’t always have to take this long though, I love learning so I just keep going back 🙂

      Depends how you count…

      Started nursery around 3…

Seriously now… After A levels (we don’t call them that in France), I studied 5 years for an MSc and a further 3 years for a PhD.

I did 4 years at university getting my degree, & now I’ve done 2 years of a PhD, with 1 left to go (mine is shorter than Dawn’s)

A PhD is a paid job but it’s also training too at the same time 🙂

I had an year of dedicated training. Apart from that, since mine is a research work, every single day I learn something new.
