STEAM? As in Science Technology Engineering Art Maths?
A bit of all of them. Mostly I do Engineering (obviously! or it’d be a bit weird if I was in this competition), Technology (as I’m making new technologies), and Science (to make my microchips, I have to understand fluid flow & cell behaviour).
But I also need to use Maths to map out the microchips’ designs.
And I have to do lots of sketches and drawings of my microchips before I can print them (Art)
Everyone needs to let out some steam at some point 😉
Engineering is what I do, it is essentially about applying Science and Maths to solve problems. Technology is what gets created as an output of engineering… so all of them…
A bit of all of them – I am working on an art project right now that will help to show how squishy different cell types are.
I use engineering, maths, science and technology everyday in the lab 🙂
Hearing it for first time. Guessing from Sarah’s answer, I think mostly Engineering and maths. Equally in science as well since it needs biological background knowledge. Technology comes in when developing a product and shaping it as a prototype. Art might not be explicitly used but still inevitably applicable in any field
