I’m a bit strange: I first did engineering in my current job.
Most engineers will have a university degree in some kind of engineering (e.g. chemical engineering, electronics engineering, systems engineering….) so will have studied it for a few years before working in it, but I have a degree in chemistry.
I use the knowledge I learnt in chemistry about molecules, materials, and how particles behave to design my microchips.
9 years back. Did Electronics and communication engineering for my undergrad, electrical engineering (specialising in biomedical imaging) in Masters. Now slowly drifting to clinical/analysis side ..
I first started engineering in primary school – I got to build an electronically controlled Meccano crane as part of a team for a school project!
I also did an undergraduate degree in electronic engineering so have been studying and working in engineering since I left school.
I got interesting in all things flowing when I started sailing, I think I was 12. Then I did OK at maths and Physics at school and went to study mechanical engineering and fluid dynamics at Uni, I did my PhD on snow making system, excuse the pun, but that was cool…
