• Question: When did you get interested in 3D printing? :)

      I remember hearing about 3D printing for the first time in 2007, when I was in year 11 at school. I was reading a news magazine & it had an article about 3D printing in sugar. A couple had built a printer that used hot air to melt layers of sugar together.
      It had this photo:
      It’s VERY ugly right XD But I was SO amazed that I told all my friends & family about it. Then someone told me you can also 3D print in plastic and my mind was blown even more.

      Back in 2007, 3D printing was unknown to nearly everyone, & the cheapest printers were £40,000! Now they’re £350. And now sugar 3D printing looks like this:
      It’s amazing how fast technology can improve in just 9 years!!
